This week’s song is called Mountains. My girlfriend and I had a conversation about how the elements of a song should swell and build like a mountain range, peaking and then falling off on the other snowy side. Keeping those snowflakes in mind, this song is the first of November’s songs.

Happy Halloween! This week’s song is a collaboration with NYC based guitarist Justin King. I’m guessing you haven’t ever heard seen him play guitar before, in which case watch this video. He has a new debut album out, and is doing a good bit of touring, so if you want some more info check out his website. As far as “The Wash” goes, it’s inspired by the reverb saturated music of early Brian Eno, and also a bit by the floaty sounds from Panda Bear. This is the last song of October, and I’m looking forward to some more collaborations in Nov including one with a certain Bear who lives here in Portland.

I have always wanted to be a deep sea diver, to explore the depths of the abysmal plains and the oceanic trenches. Actually, I think I have been watching a little too much Planet Earth BBC. This week’s song is another collaboration with DJ Free and a new guest, vibraphone maestro Zach Meints.
Diving
Remember that time you flew in a dream, over the ocean into the sunset, and that Beatles song from the Magical Mystery Tour album was playing? This week’s collaboration is with the original “ambient workout instructor”, DJ Free.

The Cosmos podcast is now online at the iTunes music store under the podcast section, so it should be easier to find. For those of you coming from the iTunes podcast directory, welcome to the podcast! October is here and I’m shifting musical gears ever so slightly, this month I feel a few collaborations with other artists in the air. This song was created with David Kyle, whose beautiful and strange music can be heard on his myspace page. This song is featured on his new EP “Notes on Paper” released this month. If you live here in Portland, he has one more show left on the northwest tour, this Saturday at the Towne Lounge.

Hello! This song is a couple of days late (sorry!) I’ve been pulling all nighters on a film project so I was delayed on last weeks song. I’ll make it up with a double release this weekend. Two more things, I’m upping the rate of the mp3’s to 224 kbs, and I’m working on getting a proper podcast going, one which you can subscribe to in iTunes. So without further ado, here is this week’s song.

Oh Hai,
This is the first song of September, our first song of this infant project, and as far as we know the first song where a wolf sings alto. I’m starting this off on an ambient foot, with a sort of sit back and melt into your chair sort of song.
